Flux 1.1 Pro is the right model for product work because it handles surface materials — concrete, brushed metal, frosted glass — with a level of physical realism that Midjourney still drifts on. The key is to be ruthlessly specific about lighting direction. "Soft directional studio light from upper left" gives the model a clear scene to render; "well-lit" gives it nothing.
What goes wrong with this kind of prompt is asking for too many objects in frame. One product, one surface, one light. Add a second SKU and Flux starts averaging the lighting between them. If you need a group shot, generate the hero shot first, then composite later in your editor of choice.
